Working on the images and quotes for the Bird Calendar brought me through this past year. I poured my heart into it, and learned through the entire process — about love, loss, intense pain, and perseverance.

This calendar is a gift to my husband and a meditation through grief, taking it, as Anne Lamott would say, “Bird by Bird.”
