This is a great song to get stuck in your head. Especially if you're an ideas person, or creative in any way. For me, with a new project, this song has given me so much inspiration. Because really, if you think about it - and you believe in magic and possibilities and all those dreams that glitter in your mind - anything could happen.

This drawing is also the first one I worked on for my new coloring book project! This is super exciting to me. As someone who worked for years on book manuscripts, I always imagined my first book would be a novel or a picture book. But it's amazing what happens when you follow where your path pivots. In this case, my path pivoted from writing to art school, and art school led to illustrating a coloring book. Yay!

The Phoenix Art Museum (it's worth a visit if you're in town) hosted a show of Modern art. It was awesome, and I got a ton of ideas. I love all the shapes and colors.

some few sketchbook pages...I love looking through artist's sketchbooks, it's like peeking into someone's brain.

This is a painting that I eventually scrapped. I just couldn't get the colors right, and it became more frustrating than fun. I donated it to a student, and she gessoed over it, and painted something much more amazing! #letgo
